Autocratic leaders.

This week I learned about some of the different types of leadership that can be historically seen in almost all governments and societies of the world, in this blog I will talk about one of them.

The first one we talked about was the autocratic leaders, this type of leadership refers to the individual control of the leader over al the decisions and an insignificant contribution of the group members. There are many examples throughout history that can easily explain this type of leaders, for example when the kings and queens of Europe decided everything and even sometimes owned practically everything in their kingdoms. This kings were sometimes cruel, and even ignorant (for example Marie Antoinette, from France) making a complete disaster in all the country because of their apathy and lack of knowledge of the real world. Sometimes the autocratic leaders can have real respect from their members, for example Adolf Hitler, who created a nationalist and socialist (NAZI) speech that was against a “common” enemy for Germany, with that general support, the autocratic leader can camouflage its decisions and make everyone believe everything is fine with tons of political propaganda and secret repression. The last was one example of one of the most common (and existing) type of autocratic leader, the dictator, one actual example of an autocratic leader could be Nicolas Maduro, in Venezuela, this autocratic leader strategy was to change the laws of his country, and with that making it literally and legally “fair” to re-elect himself as many times he wants, as well as investing in tons of political propaganda
